Hi, y'all! My name is Christian Harward and I'm a musical theatre performer that specializes in Pre-Contemporary, Golden Age, and Sondheim Musicals. 

 

          Adventure has always been the name of the game! I was an army brat and before the age of ten I had already seen more of the world than most people three times my age. Every time we moved I had to make new friends, adapt to a new environment, and figure out how to fit in - it was never easy but it was exciting! I quickly acquired a thirst for knowledge about my new home - the culture, the food, the sights - and it's because of this curiosity that I found myself playing Santa Claus in front of a cardboard Alpine themed set, which I designed, on the stage of my third grade cafetorium. 

 

          Even then, at the tender age of seven, the beauty of the world, the people that inhabit it, and the stories they tell made my heart sing and I needed to let that song out. The following year I joined choir and I quickly realized I was meant to be a storyteller.

 

          My love for books, history, and the magical and mysterious has always inspired the creative paths I've traversed and established a powerful connection with characters who are passionate, intuitive, and often misunderstood. Those attributes helped me navigate and understand my queerness and taught me to be proud of who I am. For that, they will always have my deepest gratitude and my greatest desire to portray such qualities on stage.
